AHPL – The History
The founder and promoters of Achieve Hospitality Private Limited or AHPL Mr. Gagan Agrawal was a young and aspiring visionary when he came to Delhi in the year 1994 looking to carve a niche for himself. He observed that the National Capital Region was a whole new world of opportunities for the people who had the hunger of success. Every sector, public or private, was illustrating an unending need for skilled manpower and education seemed to be the biggest key in making an individual successful. The access to best education however was confined to a few who had the fortune of being born & brought up in such metropolitan cities. About 80% of the people living within the state of Delhi, were not only aware of these opportunities, they were exploiting them to the fullest. The remaining 20% who had migrated from various parts of the country were still struggling to make a formidable beginning.
There were several reasons contributing to this factor; amongst them, one of the key challenge was the unavailability of proper accommodation facilities. Most of the migrating students either relied on their relatives or preferred to live as Paying Guests or worse as Combined Tenants (Accommodation shared by many people). The primary causes of this dilemma could be categorized into two; first being the expensive living standard of the Metro cities, and second threat of safety & security for an inexperienced individual. These hanky-dory accommodations offered a non-conducive atmosphere for students & professionals to prosper.
With a vision to eradicate such bias representation of the youth within the reaches of the Indian Education System (Vocational Courses, Finishing Schools, Study Centres, MBA/IIT Preparatory Schools & Institutions), Mr. Agrawal established the first of its kind Boys Hostel – exclusively for the students of FIIT-JEE Ltd (Which had already established itself as one of the eminent names in the domain of IIT Preparation & Teaching). This Hostel had everything that a student desired; conducive atmosphere for studying, extremely affordable pricing - that could cater to even the students belonging to the sect of lower middle class, excellent food – in terms of hygiene, taste, quality & quantity – And at the top of list, it provided absolute safety & security to the students migrating from every part of the country.
Soon this hostel claimed 80% of FIIT-JEE’s total strength in Delhi & became a favourite amongst the students. For a young IIT Aspirant, it provided the most lucrative solution to all his worries & best of all – a peaceful sleep to the parents who left their children at a completely new & unknown place. Now they found someone whom they could rely up on.
Every concern or grievances of the students were personally addressed by Mr. Agrawal himself hereby ensuring a feeling of “Home Away from Home” to the students, as well as their guardians. It wasn’t long Mr. Agrawal extended these services to other prestigious institutions like National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), MADE EASY, All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi Institute for Advanced Medical Studies (DIAMS) etc.
AHPL Group today comprises of 15 Boys & Girls Hostels in Delhi and this is just the beginning. A vision that has been brought to reality is yet to reach its pinnacle in terms of growth under the able leadership of Mr. Agrawal and his competent management team.
